Under 13

Welcome to the Ealing Trailfinders Under 13’s for 22/23

Ealing Trailfinders Under 13’s age group is for those boys who are in Year 8 at school (from September 2022 onwards).

The Under 13 squad consists of boys of mixed ability and we welcome new joiners of any level of experience.  Our Under 13’s train and play under the guidance of our fantastic team of Volunteer Coaches led by Head Coach, Alan Gleeson and Age Group Manager, Marta Le Bouedec.

Our Under 13 age group train on Sunday’s from 10.00am till 12:00 noon and Thursday evenings from 7-8pm. We train at our home ground, Trailfinders Sports Club, Vallis Way, W13 0DD. See map and directions: HERE

We play in the Herts-Middlesex League, with most age groups entering 2 squads into the Pool and League Divisions. We also play approximately one friendly match a month, either home or away. Our ambition is to play an attractive, competitive brand of rugby that is enjoyed by players, coaches and parents alike. 

Every year we welcome new players to the squad, many of whom have never played rugby before and we hope for more new players this year. If you are interested, please contact the Head Coach or Age Group Manager through the adjacent contact details.

In terms of philosophy and approach, at Ealing Trailfinders we ensure that all children and parents follow the RFU’s core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship (TREDS). All Ealing Trailfinders members also adhere to the RFU’s Code of Conduct.

The key elements of the Under 13’s Rules of Play are: 

• 13-a-side
• 6 Players in a fully contested
• 50 minute matches on pitch sized 90 x 60 mtrs
• No player limits on those contesting rucks and mauls
• Sin Bin = 5 minutes.

The 22/23 Season begins on Sunday September 4th at 10am noon.
