This Week:
Wednesday 18th March – Midweek training 18:45 to 20:00. Please stay away from pitch 2 (the astroturf pitch) as it is in use for a Men’s cup match.
Sunday 22nd March – Training 09:45 to midday. There is a mini’s tournament being played on the pitches at Trailfinders so training will be in Gunnersbury Park.

There is a gate into the park about half way down Lionel Rd. If you approach from this side and make your way out the other side of the trees, you will be able to see us from 09:45.
Sunday saw us play an important role in the HML Div 2 title decider with Harrow aware that a win for them would make them league champions. However, with Ealing fielding a very strong side, we hoped we weren’t going to make it easy for them.
Unfortunately, in the first half, we did just that, allowing them to score 3 tries and making mistakes when we had possession. Some vital coaching points were made clear during the half-time team-talk and Ealing came out of the blocks for the second half with real sense of purpose. After shipping the ball wide, Reon was able to put in a strong run for our first try and Conor converted. Another spell of Ealing pressure culminated in a try for Tuvshen pushing up into the line after the play was switched left. Ealing had to weather the storm for a while, but after some favourable decisions and clearing kicks, we camped down in the Harrow 22 for the last 10 minutes of the game. Despite the pressure from Ealing, a tired (and relieved) Harrow held on to win 19 – 12.
Too many heroic performances to mention all of them but George J. hooked well in the scrum and was nearly perfect for lineout throws, Euan and his lifting team for winning both Ealing and several Harrow lineouts, and Freddie for consistently producing quick clean ball from the breakdown.
There were a few disappointed faces from the players in the clubhouse after the match but not from the coaches or spectators who recognised a genuinely entertaining performance to be proud of. At the end of 70 minutes rugby, there was just one score difference between Ealing and the league champions. In addition we are the only team to have scored two tries against Harrow in the league this season.
