Evergreens beat Fulleriains after coming back rom 17 – 0 down
Read More...For the season 2020/21 the Evergreens ceased competing for Ealing Trailfinders and transferred to Ealing Trailfinders 1871. See new team details HERE.
The Evergreens is Ealing Rugby Club’s veterans side and is made up of players who are 35 years or over. Players are welcomed from all over and it is testimony to Ealing Rugby Club’s success that many recent members of the Evergreen squad have joined us from various West London teams to supplement our home-grown talent. Thus, we are a happy ship flying a flag of convenience for anybody wishing to play a good standard of rugby throughout their 30s, 40s, 50s and occasionally older.
This year we will be playing competitive matches in the Middlesex Vets League & Cup with games against clubs like Wasps, Chiswick and UCS Old Boys as well as friendlies against old foes London Irish.
We have simple objectives:
The recent history of the Ealing Evergreens has been a tale of success on the field, winning the Middlesex Vets Merit Table for the past two years. Add to that success on tour in Rome (and occasionally also in the bar), but most notably success in harmonising a mixed group of older players. Good players simply love to carry on playing rugby.
Long may the Ealing brand of veterans rugby continue as a key force in West London.
You are never too old to join us! A few of us still train as well so join us for a look: Men’s Section training on Tuesdays and Thursdays with prompt start at 19:30.

Read More...Definitely one we let slip at the weekend…. Great defence around the fringes and excellent forward play saw us dominate most of this game but we conceded 3 tries, one an from unlucky turnover when we had been hammering at their 22 for 10 minutes saw them sprint 70 yards to score – not many of us can sprint 70 yards….

Read More...Definitely one we let slip…. we started slowly on Saturday and by the time we decided to get involved in a game of rugby after 10 minutes we had conceded two tries, the second of which was a real sickener
Read More...The Evergreens lost out to Richmond in a close fought game on Saturday 6th March but at least restored some pride after losing the home fixture by a landslide. We were woefully understrength that day but a much improved side lined up at the Athletic ground this time round.
