This Sunday sees the Academy season take off with the full spectrum of our role on show.
The first of our fixtures featuring Academy and Championship Development Squad players takes place against the Royal Navy U23 side on Sunday at Vallis Way with kick off at 2:30pm. This is the first of an exciting fixture list and will prove a tough test for the ambitious Trailfinders youngsters.
The U18 squad travel to Watford to face Fullerians U18s in their first outing off the season, this will provide a first taste of Academy rugby to our younger players and should be a tough test as Fullers are traditionally strong.
Our third role within the One Club principal is to integrate Academy players into the senior ranks. Saturday sees last years Academy Captain Matt Freeman, Alex Kritikos and Cian McBride make their senior debuts for the Amateur section at Old Merchant Taylors.
All players return to Academy action next week.
