On making the announcement, Academy Director John Lacey said “We are really excited at the prospect of Rhys joining the team, he is looking to develop his coaching alongside his full time playing commitments and the benefits of a current professional working with our young players is priceless. The boys will be able to see just what it takes to make the top grade in terms of skill development, time management and career planning as well as bringing fresh ideas to the coaching group. We’d also like to thank Ben Ward for allowing Rhys to work with us.”
