Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club fields two teams.

  • Exiles – our Guinness-loving social team, competing in Middlesex Merit Table Division Four.
  • Evergreens – our veterans’ team, this season competing in the Middlesex Veterans League.

Ealing Trailfinders 1871 fields an additional three teams.

Training takes place each Tuesday and Thursday at 19:30. If you want to know more contact Vittorio Spadavecchia.

REPORT: Ealing Evergreens 0 – 51 Richmond Heavies

Ealing Evergreens went down to a heavy home loss on Saturday losing 51 points to nil against Richmond Heavies.  The Ealing scrum was stuck in reverse gear all day, we won hardly any line out ball, conceded nine tries and scored none.  But apart from that Mrs Lincoln, how did you enjoy the show?

REPORT: Weybridge Vandals 19 – 34 Ealing Evergreens

Ealing Evergreens got back to winning ways on Saturday with a well deserved win away at Weybridge Vandals in the Surrey Vets League Division 1.  The injured players list gets longer every week and on Friday I was concerned about how we would field a full XV but we managed to actually have two subs and everyone who played was in their chosen position which was a huge problem for us in our last two games.

REPORT: Barnes Vets 61 -12 Ealing Evergreens

The Evergreens suffered their first loss of the season and oh what a loss!  I know many people would say why do a match report after a heavy loss?  Who wants to read about it?  What is there to say after shipping such a heavy defeat?  Actually there is quite a lot that can be said.  Mainly that rugby is a 15 man game and we cannot hope to be successful with so many of our regular backs missing and those remaining playing completely out of position.

REPORT: Old Streetonians II 55 – 0 Ealing Exiles

Nick Greenhalgh recalls a tough day for the Exiles.

Using several cars, some tubes, some trains, some buses and some feet, the Exiles managed to traverse London from various starting positions to the back and beyond of North East London (actually, Hackney Marshes) in order to take on the in-form Old Streetonians IIs.
