Ealing Cougars recorded a big win over Chiswick 2’s despite a lacklustre display.
The cougars were guilty of believing their own hype after a convincing display against LNZ last week. The Cougars started fast but spurned a few early chances due to not doing the basics and everyone too keen to score. It was in fact Chiswick who scored first with a converted try under the posts after some very poor defending from the Cougars. The Cougars responded immediately and scored their own converted try.
The Cougars scored three more converted tries to make the half-time score 28 -7.
The Cougars were guilty of taking their foot off the gas in the 2nd half and what should have been a landslide finished as an impressive but flattering score line.
Tries: John Haigh, John Murphy 2, Wayde Kelly 2, Andy Jack, Joe Reisterer
Cons: Wayde Kelly 6
Man of the Match: John Kane
