Ealing Trailfinders Add Five More To Their Squad For Season 13/14

Ealing Trailfinders are delighted to announce five more signings for season 13/14:

Ed Siggery – Pontypridd – Back row

Josh Elliot – Bath Uni – Hooker

Conor Carey – Ulster – Prop

Dan Collier – Unattached – Second row

Jordan Saunders – Cardiff Met Uni – Prop

Ed Siggery has the ability to play 6 and 8. He is 6’3 and 112kg. Ed has played for Wales U20 before being signed by London Irish. Currently he plays for Pontypridd where they have finished top of the Welsh Premiership. Ealing Trailfinders are looking forward to seeing him making a big impact in the Championship.

Josh Elliot signs from Bath Uni where he was selected for England Students this season. He has also represented England at U16 and U18 level.

Conor Carey signs from Ulster where he represented Ireland at U20 level playing in the 2011 U20 Six Nations and 2011 U20 World Cup. Primarily a TH prop but he is also comfortable playing LH prop as well. He has great mobility and work rate around the park. Still a young player he is looking forward to proving himself in the Championship next season.

Dan Collier has been training at the club for the past two months. He has Championship experience at Plymouth but his time there was cut short due to injury. Having taken some time out from the game he has come back looking to prove himself once again at this level.

Jordan Saunders can play in all three positions in the front row and played for England Students in 2012. He played a vital role for Cardiff Met Uni this season in getting to the BUSA final at Twickenham. He is looking forward to testing himself at this level and will add further strength to our front row.

Mike Cudmore, Director of Rugby, said of the five signings “All five players will add to our squad for next season. We know there will be a step up in physicality from National 1 and it’s important to have strength in depth and players competing for the shirt. All the players above are extremely hungry to show all in the Championship what they have to offer and we are looking forward to working with them”
