The new season is almost upon us once again. The first XV will begin their National One campaign with three pre-season warm up games starting with Newport on the 16th of August. This will be a great opportunity to see Ben Ward’s new signings as well as some familiar faces in action on our new 3G pitch.
The new pitch is a massive investment by Trailfinders and will benefit the whole club. It can be trained on in all weathers and, as it does not need to be rested, this means that the players of all ages will get a lot more pitch time if the winter weather follows its recent pattern. In other words playing membership will be even better value for money!
Which brings me to the purpose of this message. This season we will not be posting out printed membership renewal information as membership will be managed with our online membership system, which I know most of you use anyway. As well as paying your subs and joining the Club you can purchase a season ticket for the First XV games on line as well. The cost of a season ticket is £95, which gives you entry and a programme to the 15 home games, a saving of £100. If you are a senior playing member or a social member we have a season ticket and membership package which we would encourage you to buy. How to renew your membership
Firstly if you are one of our much valued Life Members or Patrons please ignore this section as your membership will be automatically renewed for the coming season.
Now that our online membership management system (EMAS) has been successfully operating for the last three seasons renewing your membership is now considerably less complicated and only a couple of clicks away as you can now complete the whole process online in a matter of minutes and manage, update your own membership details and make secure payment using a card or your PayPal account.
Also don’t forget that we are offering the choice for all family based memberships to spread your subscription payments over four consecutive monthly instalments. However if you do use this option please be aware that to cover the additional charges incurred by the club it will be subject to a small surcharge.
To access your membership profile and renew your membership please go to www.ealingrugby.co.uk/members and log in to your membership profile using your email address and your password.
What to do if you cannot login
It is vital that you enter the email address that is recorded for you on the system as this acts as your username and must match to allow you to access you membership profile. If you are using the correct email but have forgotten your password you can use the ‘Forgotten Password’ option (to be found on the log in page below the log in button) to reset your password.
This will send you an email to your registered email address containing instructions on what to do, if nothing arrives please check any junk mail or spam folders that you have as it often ends up there.
If you are still unable to access your profile you will then need to email Tim at
firstname.lastname@example.org or call him on 07941 861 293 so he can check and update your profile login details as necessary.
NB If you are unable to log in please do not under any circumstances try and register from scratch again as this will create duplicate records and lead to the loss of information on the system.
Once logged in
Once logged in you will be presented with your personal information please take time to check your details, amend them if necessary and then select the Save button at the bottom of the screen. On the next page please select the relevant membership type and then select the Save button at the bottom of the screen.
The next page you will see is the donations page, if you wish to purchase a member’s season ticket for the coming season (family based memberships only) or add a donation to your membership subscription please add the amount in the donations field and select the Save button at the bottom of the screen. Alternatively if you do not wish to add a donation please leave all fields blank and just select the Save button.
The next page will confirm that your account for the new season is now set up. Please select the Membership Account link which will take you back to your Membership Profile Overview. Once returned to your Membership Profile Overview you will see your membership details and the relevant costs displayed in the red payment required box at the top of you’re the page. If your membership includes family membership please make sure that your partner’s details are included as they will then be issued with a membership card. If Junior players are included please make sure that an appropriate passport style photo is included and that their school information is up to date.
When you have reviewed and amended your profile as necessary please select the Make Payment button and follow the instructions to proceed with your subscription payment. Please note that other means of payment will only now be accepted in exceptional circumstances and that wherever possible the online renewal system should now be used.
If you are on a limited income and have genuine difficulties in finding the full subscription for the coming season please contact the Chairperson of your particular section of the club as soon as possible as they have the discretion to offer reduced rates where appropriate. Please be assured that all such enquiries are treated in the very strictest of confidence.
As we have done in previous seasons we are asking you to consider adding a donation to your annual subscription to further help and support amateur rugby at Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club. Last season we continued our success seeing over 650 young people from all backgrounds and abilities regularly playing rugby at ETRFC every Sunday, making us one of the biggest sports clubs in the area, the largest Junior Rugby Clubs in the county and one of the largest Junior Rugby Clubs in the country.
We receive no financial support from the Local Authority or Government and have to be financially self-sufficient. To be able to build and invest in our young people and the senior amateur section the club needs to continue to raise its income and would really appreciate you considering adding a donation to your subscription for the coming season. If you are able to help us in this way please use the online facility when renewing your membership and please accept our sincere thanks for your help. Also please be assured that any donation (as well as your subscription) will only be used to benefit the amateur sections of the club.
