I have some very sad news in that Frank McHale, who played in the Colts and Senior sides in the late 70’s early 80’s, usually in Paul Foreman’s or Damian’s Bujega’s sides has passed away at far too young an age after a battle with lung cancer on the 21st September. Frank was a larger than life character both on and off the pitch and was a more than eager participant on the Colts tours to Ireland, the legendary Jersey tour and our fantastic tour to the USA. When not at the Club, Frank would be found in the middle bar of the North Star where many a memorable post match night would take place, before the obligatory curry at Monty’s.
