REPORT: Ealing Trailfinders 10-30 Cross Keys

Ealing Trailfinders travelled away to Cross Keys on Saturday, but were unable to secure a second win in the British and Irish Cup.

Ealing fly-half Andy Hall opened the scoring with an early penalty, but Keys quickly drew level when his opposite number Dorian Jones scored his first points of the day and the Welsh side then took the lead when scrum-half Jonathan Evans crossed for a well-taken try from a lineout.

They extended their lead further when Jones banged over a long-range penalty, but Ealing reduced the arrears soon after when Tom Bedford continued his recent try-scoring form with a score that Hall converted.

A penalty try meant that Cross Keys went in at half-time 18-10 ahead and they added to their lead in the second half with two penalty tries and a score from wing Ryan Lee.

Ealing Trailfinders complete their B and I Cup duties this Friday at home to holders Leinster A before they return to Greene King IPA Championship duties on Saturday, 25 January, away to Moseley.
