ETRFC to support Jack Fishwick Fund in coming season

Jack fishwickEaling Trailfinders were saddened to hear the news about former player Jack Fishwick who suffered a rugby-related injury in March that has currently left him quadriplegic.

Jack Fishwick played for Ealing Trailfinders from 2010 until 2013 and during that time he featured 28 times for the first XV and was also captain of the 2nd XV.

The second row was a popular figure among the players, coaches and supporters, who will recall his time at the club fondly.

While it is devastating news for Jack and his family, Jack is fighting hard and tackling the challenges with heart and optimism.

Nonetheless the road ahead is long and by no means simple for him and his family, but a trust fund has been set up to help with the costs of his treatment and on-going care.

As such The Jack Fishwick Discretionary Trust Fund will be Ealing Trailfinders’ first team squad chosen charity for the 2014-15 season with a number of events set to take place to raise money for the fund.

Notice of the events and when and where they are taking place will be announced in due course and the Club hope that everyone can help this club stalwart at a difficult time in his life.
